Babyproof living room checklist
When we think of childproofing a house, we usually imagine dangerous sharp edges and electrical equipment.
But we should also not forget the dangers inherent in soft surfaces as well. Infants placed on sofas, cushions or pillows and even blankets or comforters are at risk of suffocation, and should be watched constantly.

05Always be vigilant!
- To successfully babyproof your living and dining rooms you will need to be constantly on the alert for possible choking hazards. Don't place food on the floor and make sure to check the cushions of your soft for coins and other items that your baby may try to swallow!
