The changes to your skin that take place during pregnancy, may mean that the makeup you normally wear will need to be adjusted. Your skin may change in color and tone, and spider veins might need to be masked.
It is common for your skin to become greasy during pregnancy. If you have oily skin you should use an astringent followed by an oil free foundation. Dusting with translucent powder will work effectively.
It is more unusual to have dry skin during pregnancy and you should try using an oil based film of foundation and powder to help reduce water loss. If it becomes flaky you should avoid wearing makeup and use plenty of thick, creamy moisturizers to prevent water loss on dry patches.

If you have fine lines and wrinkles they will become more prominent if your skin dries out during pregnancy. You will want to avoid using cosmetics such as shiny and glittery eye shadows, heavy foundations and colored powders that will accentuate these features.

Try stippling a light, thin coat of matt foundation on your cheeks. Find a foundation that contains no pink. Once dry, use your regular foundation on top and dust with a transparent powder.
If dark circles appear try putting on a thin layer of foundation then stipple an under eye cover up cream on top. Once dry, put on another thin layer of foundation and blend it carefully, then covering with a thin dusting of transparent powder.
