Is spotting a sure sign of early pregnancy?

I want to have a baby really bad, and I've been ttc for month. Recently I started spotting, and my gut says I'm pregnant but I've taken two tests and they were both negative.
I really want this baby, and I know I'm pregnant even though th etests said 'no'.
Can anyone tell how I can be sure that I'm pregnant?
